DISCOVERY IDOL – Our annual talent show will take place on Wednesday, May 20 at 10:15 a.m.  

END OF THE YEAR RECUP EXAMS FOR MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL - Please take note of the following information:

·         There will be one (1) “recuperation week” at the end of the school year (June 15 – 19).

·         Passing grade is 70%.

·         “Retrasada” class – only 1 subject is allowed to be taken the following school year.

·         If the student fails 2 or more subjects at the end of his/her “recuperation” week, he/she will need to repeat the school year.

UPCOMING AP EXAMS (GRADES 10 – 12 ) -

Tuesday, May 12 – Spanish Literature and Culture (12:00 m.) and French Language and Culture (12:00 m.)

Wednesday, May 13 – English Language and Culture (8:00 a.m.)

Friday, May 15 – Human Geography (8:00 a.m.)

SEMESTER EXAMS FOR GRADES 8 – 12 only - Last day to introduce new material – Thursday, May 21

Review days – Friday, May 22, Monday, May 25, and Tuesday, May 26

Semester Exams – Wednesday, May 27, Thursday, May 28, and Friday, May 29

SCHOOL AWARDS CEREMONY - The Discovery School Staff and Administration will recognize all students that have represented the school and have had an outstanding participating in the different events throughout the school year. This ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 21.

PINEAPPLE INITIATIVE – If you purchase a pineapple for your home consumption, please send the crown on the pineapple in a bag to school as soon as possible. There is an innovative initiative to plant (and sell) Discovery harvested pineapples! We will begin on Monday, May 11, so send those crowns soon!!!

GO GREEN MONTH:  students are encouraged to wear green each Friday this month.

BRICKS4KIDZ – Session 3 is this Friday, April 17. The sessions run from 3:15 to 4:15 and will be open for students in from kindergarten to grade five. There are spaces still available! You can register on Friday!

DISCOVERY'S HELPING HANDS - The community service club led by Mrs. Agurcia, will be selling minutas (snow cones) Friday during lunch and after school to raise funds for Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos, a children's home. Each minuta will cost L. 15 and there will be a variety of flavors to choose from. Please help us support this wonderful organization!
